Just Aphasia Going Through - Kinetic Typography Video

I like that piece on aphasia and it was a great choice for kinetic typography. But there are a few places where the the words fly by too quickly for me to read. I looked at several of the examples that you linked to and they all included a voice-over of the text. I found that as long as I could hear the words, it didn't matter if I couldn't read all of them.
Thanks Tim, that's helpful. I made a very conscious choice not to have a voice over, but to try and tell the story in a different way. Also the breaking up and flying away of words was part of the process of the character losing their grip over words. I think with every story some words are lost, scanned over, loss of concentration etc, but the overall context and meaning are preserved. I suppose in a shorter story, and one narrated in a manner not normally used, loss of a word here or there has a bigger impact.

My thought when I first watched it was that it was too fast and I was frustrated at the words disappearing before I had read them. Clever! My frustration must be next to nothing compared to that of someone losing the ability to make their words understood. The fact that there is no voice over means I have to concentrate hard to catch the meaning.
What a concept and how wonderfully realized.
I got most of it, but really had to concentrate, to focus. And I guess that was the point.
